Hello!
Yes, not blinking, just impulsing is the correct term!
But ALL the big powered green lasers that I have buyed, form cheaper to expensive, show the same issue: impulsing for some seconds (5-10), then start at max power and so rest forever.
I use PANASONIC PRO POWER batteries not rechargeable, the best among the alkaline model. I'm scared about rechargeable batteries: Mr. Scott told me that often the rechargeable models has an output > 1.5 volts, and this can damage the laser diode.
In Italy I have found Duracell rechargeable batteries, but the output power is about 1.2, I think too low for my Hercules.
What is the voltage output of Tenergy Premium?
My room temperature is 23 degree Celsius, so it should be a perfect temperature for use my Hercules.
I have tried to use external power supply instead batteries, but I can see the same issue.
So, the temperature is ok, the power supply also, I hope that I do not have a faulty unit like my beam expander ;(

P.S.: I do not touch the current adjust screw in any way ... it's factory preregulated for the best results!
P.P.S.: the beam in your video starts good immediatly! It seems that not impulsing in any way. Have you pre-heated You Hercules before the video, or the videocamera
is not able to capture the small impulsing?
P.P.P.S.: http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Tener.../B0040IAZ0S/ref=pd_cp_e_0/182-8678350-1593735 here You can found a really good price for Tenergy batteries!
And this: http://www.amazon.com/Ansmann-54070...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1324694751&sr=1-4 is the best battery charger ever! What charger have You buyed?

Any high-powered DPSS green laser will have some instability for the first few seconds of operation. Even a lab laser will have some instability when you first turn it on. It will be somewhat dependent on the ambient temperature and battery condition, but this is perfectly normal behavior.

I must admit, the Laserglow service is at the top of the quality.
I have just received my new 10x optic in a nice plastic case, and this time it works very well!
I was right: in the other unit the big len was mounted in a wrong position. In this unit, the len is placed toward the end, not at the middle of the thread like the last one.
I have started a match at a distance of 30 meters. And was only my first try .. it's incredible, it's scarying ;)
Many many thanks to Mr. Justin and Mr. Scott for the support.
A very good year to all.

Richard.
