In the post "A guide to buying your first green laser" it says "...50mW has a very visable green line at night, and anything above starts to get hard to look at/down." What does that mean exactly? What will a 100mw laser look like?

No clue, but I can tell you what 125mW looks like. It looks very sexy, but the dot up close can hurt your eyes (nothing permanent) due to the brightness. The more mW, the brighter the beam, thus the move visible it is.

pretty much the same as a 50mW. The dot will be brighter and more uncomfortable to look at then a 50mW. The beam will stay the same, might be a bit more visible though.
