Tried bypassing the switch, same problem. I have my rechargeables on order so I only have Alks at the moment, but they are fresh out of the box.

Sounds like you should RMA then. That drop in brightness is caused by a voltage drop in the batteries, a bad switch, or a bad driver/diode. So if you've liminated the first two then you have only one option.

lol yes i love the name too.

well on my laser theres a button so i just did it on the oppisite side of the button, im not sure what will happen if you put it on both sides but i think youl find that it fits on just 1 side easier, centers it easier too, so im not sure what to tell you for which side..
