Just a little <5mw. I'm getting this to replace a defective WL Core. I've read many good things about LaserGlow on here. I'm not sure if I'll ever pop on a more powerful laser due to safety concerns. Anyhow, I was wondering if any owners of the chrome Lyra could clear something up for me: Is it just chrome plated or is it solid chrome? I'd hate to worry about issues of it chipping if it's just plated.

Welcome!
Laserglow is a good choice for a first laser.

It is chrome plated brass.
I don't think it will chip any time soon, though. It should last years and years under normal use.

Thanks, you're probably right. I won't be using this laser as a rock crusher so it should be fine. If LaserGlow's quality is as good as I've heard then it should hold up nicely. It's just that I've had many cheap things before that have had the chrome plating literally peel right off, hence my paranoia. I guess "cheap" is the key word. lol
