IR diode for "me ol' greenie"...

I have an old 10mW greenie that I had "modified" to put out, I'm guessing, about 30mW peak. Anyhow, I was yutzing around with the module and accidentaly jumped the pot to the case and fried the diode. So, now I have a dilema. I know this thing is about pointless to 'fix' just due to age, but I really like it. So, the question I have is this: Does ANYBODY carry surplus diodes for these? It's an 9mm open can (500mW?) that's fairly stubby. I think it may be Sony or Polaroid, but I know they've got to be long OOP. Does anybody on here have any of these crusty things lying around? I'd be interested in getting one so I don't have to make a rig so as not to let a good YVO/KTP set go to waste.
