Nice Hap!! You got yourself a kickass 532 right there. I didn't know they still shipped to the US ?

Hello CaliKirk,

I know man, Im amazed! Been a very long time since I've owned such a powerful 532 laser! When I first was LPM'ing it I expected a little over 200mW but it kept climbing to 300, then 400 I was like damn when is this going to stop haha :p

Yep, they still ship all kinds of lasers to the US :)

Sorry but what is DL? :D

Also, if you guys had any knowledge on greenies for me I'd like a to hear your opinions. I am thinking of buying either a 1W 520/532 or a 700mW 520/532

What I'm looking for in this is a nice solid beam but also a tight spot. I'm probably going to grab a beam expander in the future but thats gonna be a little ways off for now. Any advice you have is greatly appreciated :D

DL = Dragon Lasers

If you want a tight spot and a solid beam then you probably want the 532nm - they'll have the tightest beam. Lots of options for companies, you could take a little risk and go with XPL... I'll let some other suggest something else. 1W 532nm in a handheld is a little harder to come by - for example, LaserBTB only offer up to 700mW, although the output could end up being higher than advertised ...

Just did another test & got a peak of 470mW, so almost 300mW over-spec yikes! Yes, DL is DragonLasers :D

My gosh! When I was reading the title I expected catastrophe. But, no, catastrophe will only be for whatever you point that thing at... :)

My Spartan 589 is a monster like this. 200% overspec. So it looks like DL is sending out a lot of overspec units now... Nice find!

Thanks Sta! Yes! This is very good news if DragonLasers keeps sending units like these, could lead to tons of more business. I wished they offered other wavelengths in this host though :(

Thanks for the info :D

I was only thinking of 520nms cause I think I can build them cheaper :p

Does that laser have an IR filter?
I believe it does seeing as it's from DL (A CNI reseller)...

Also, from their site:

Our laser pointers ONLY give out green light. Green light is the most visible color to the human eye. This makes the beam from our laser pointers very bright with a spectacular vivid green color. Shoddy green laser pointers on the other hand do not just give out green light, they also give out infrared light.

Edit: Got any more pics? Would love to see more.

Hello ElectricPlasma,

That is the only one I took on my phone today. I can definitely take some more night shots if you want? :yh:
