I was wondering is there any way to know if that laser has IR protection filter?
I've taken interest in lasers only few weeks ago and so I'm wondering which laser would be good to buy?

I agree, optotronics, o-like- rayfoss, and dragonlasers are all well received here.

Also try one of Glenn's future group buys if you like what CNI Laser has to offer.

I suggest that the O-like and Optotronics units are without IR filters unless specifically labeled as having them, I would suggest that you look into a sleek pen laser from CNI, Nova sells them as do I in my Group Buys. So few of the bargain grennies have IR filters. Also, if you are new to lasers, there perhaps is little reason to go straight for the high output units, I used 5 to 30 mW units for more than 2 years then moved on to higher output units. The Wicked Lasers Core is a IR filtered nice <5 mW pen laser too! ;) -Glenn
