Then when they cool down *usually* they're back to where they were. Unless you do it a lot, you're probably fine.

I have a cheap DX green module that I pulled from a pen host, pot modded, and placed into a massive 2" heatsink. I have ran it twice at 30 minute cycles, and a bunch more times at a couple of minutes each time. It is my favorite greenie because I can't run my other greenies past the recommended cycle without them getting dim. It is still going strong :
