umm, I can't imagine that one will be too powerfull because it says pot modded, which basically means the original laser would have been alot lower in power but has been boosted up past what it's meant too. It's like overclocking your computer alot.

If you look at the greenie on there which says true 100mw, then they will have a powerfull IR pump diode but I won't say what as I'm not really sure :(

Doubt in the projector Mirror

any one Pls tell me that the shape of the Mirror used in the laser projector causes the shape of the image or not. (i need a circular image in the laser projector i have rectangular mirrors in my projector. in that i got a eliptical image only .) pls give me a idea.

Thanks & Regards,
Dravid.

hey cappericus here is a great post on dpss lasers it should answer all your questions. http://laserpointerforums.com/laser_pointer_forums_3/forum/showthread.php?t=30682

@dravid... when you say laser projector, do you mean like a projector to get tv images? and about beam shape there are ways to correct this but i don't know how but i did read some where in the forums about other members doing this. try searching. or putting a post in the GENERAL section.

it is hard to say since the dx laser has been pot modded. so i would assume it is a 808nm LD that might be good for 300mw? i could be wrong but not by much. hope this helps.

Thanks.

I guess I should have explained myself fully in the beginning...:yh: I had someone ask me what diode they needed, to replace the one in their laser that died. It is a 150mW that looks almost exactly like the DX one above.

Would it be a T0-5, T0-9?

Do you mean laser projector as in using Galvos/stepping motors with mirrors on the end in order to produce images ?

I have no idea... I do not have a laser projector/scanner/whatever and I do not know exactly how they work...yet. The only thing I have is a laser printer;)
