Where is the best and cheapest place to buy a 20mW+ green laser sight for Rifles?
Rail mount with pressure switch.
Must be compatable with military standard 1913 Picatinny specifications.

I have found a few on DX, but to be honest...I don't trust DX anymore.

Does anyone know where I can get one for a cheap price? No more than $60?

Thanks for your help......I will also check with my own sources as well at work...if you know what I mean. :)

May I ask why you don't trust DX anymore?

Those DX prices sound like a good deal, but I wonder about the quality. If you want a laser for any kind of firearm and you're trusting your life to it, I'm guessing you'd want quality to be a priority....

I am currently going through a dispute with them. They shiped out a flashlight to me....that I never recieved, so I setup a dispute with them to contact the carrier to file an investigation with them to find out where my package is. Needless to say...it's been a while and they still haven't given me a response or contacted the carrier yet.

Plus I am frustrated with them saying that stuff is in stock and that it will ship in 2 to 3 days, when they really mean 2 to 3 weeks or even months. Sorry....[/rant]

If I was really searching for high quality...I would just buy a Lasermax.....but your looking at spending well over $300 for one.

Really, I am just looking for a lost gem...something cheap that will stay zero'd out after shooting 50+rounds.

wow. Sounds like a nightmare with DX. Ugh. Good luck w/ that!

I'm no expert when it comes to lasers but I noticed there are differences in quality, so I have a question: would these "cheaper" lasers be able to withstand the shock and abuse from repeated recoil and handling? Especially after 100's of rounds on a "good" day at the range? Or would the internals get FUBAR?

I'm not sure how long a cheaper laser would stay zeroed, or if recoil even affects lasers, no matter what their quality.

As for it staying Zeroed....My red lasermax laser sight stay put...even after several hundred rounds through my pistol...I guess this could be an area where the sang "You get what you paid for" could be true.

As for the recoil damaging the lasers......When it comes to green lasers...I would think that there is a chance that the Crystal could become miss alined...especially if it's made cheaply.

About 9 months ago I made a red laser...about 200mW and straped it to a 12 guage shot gun and shot 50 rounds through it. The laser made it through with no problems at all, however, the laser did die after about 200 hours on it. Keep in mind that it did last at least 190 hours after shoting that. To answer your question, it's hard to say whether or not laser sights are effected by recoil. There is a good chance that the life of my diode/laser was shortened, but I doubt it.
