I just made my purchase thanks to DJNY's LPM video.
I do not have a LPM to test this but, thought i might post this so i can update people on my order.

Im gonna use a poor man's LPM.
If it burns doesnt burn at all >80mW for sure.
Burns <80mW
Lights Matches <100mW
Burns anything black (TeeHee!) <~150mW

Well, the green that i used to have was metered by a member to be 96mW peak (exluding IR) and the phr laser I had was set to a current that would be anywhere from 80-100mW depending on diode efficiency. I can only compare by eye and memory of how bright they both were, but I'll be sure and state how they compare.

Guys, don't forget, DD is good for their "certified power" line, but others are still just as sketchy as any other chinese lasers.

Yeah kept that in mind while shopping.
I would buy select skylasers and firedragons from there only.
Seems like they list the SAME laser over and over, just differently spec'd.
Only the FDA.Certified stuff seem good.

I think you posted the wrong link?
It says a violet laser, while i was talking about a green one.
But might be a glitch?

No, I said I ordered the 80mw certified power firedragon one, just like you did. Then I posted the other 2 things I ordered along with it.

I'm taking a chance with the 405 I ordered, but I realize that.

I ordered it 5/19, it's still in the "Order Approved" stage.

I'm kind of still beating myself up over selling my phr, but I plan on getting a 12x 405 build sometime in the future. I just hope this is at least 80mW to hold me over.

Yup my order hid Order Approved Stage within 30 minutes of sending my money. Pretty fast?
I think they start packing and shipping on monday.
Looks like i'll be getting my items in 6 days or more.

Sometimes that stage can take 4 or 5 days. I wouldn't be hitting F5 expecting it to change overnight

Remember, DD is NOT a manufacturer. They are a re-shipper. They are like every other Chinese re-shipper and drop shipper. They do NOT have extensive inventory sitting around waiting to be paid for. Once an item is paid for, THEN they order it from the jobber/supplier. The only time they have inventory sitting around is when the jobber requires a larger order to supply them

I would posit that these "certified" lasers are simply a marketing technique in which they are taking the higher price and using it to offset the losses from higher warranty claims.

I know they don't have most of the items they list actually at their location. I was just teasing him because my status changed

Anyways, my item shipped! Yay about 34 hours to shipping.
Seriously i thought it would take about 3 days to ship. Instead Not even 2!
If you want to buy from DD, their shipping and processing is a snap. And the quality of the item depends on what you buy.
