i was in on the second lazersman gb for a 500mw firedragon III. the unit i received was up to / over spec. after a while curiosity got to me and i took the laser apart. i found the expanding lens was way off center. with the cap unscrewed i could plainly see the light was off angle coming thru the expanding lens. as i have a few spare expanding lenses i decided to remove the one on my firedragon and reposition it or install a new one. as it turned out i broke the original lens but was able to install a replacement. i aligned it perfect and glued it into place. after screwing the head back on i found the lens assembly required adjustment, and after doing this i find i have a much less divergent beam and smaller exit. this fix gave me a thinner beam like adding an aixiz lens - rhd's fix, but without increasing divergence, in fact i think it has been reduced.
i've epoxied everything into place, once dried i'll do a few beamshots to show how this worked out.
