What eagle pair safety glasses should i get for a 50 mw green pen? some say they protect against infared light do I need this? or should I just get the one without it? if someone could link the one i should get that would be helpful.

Not only will they work phenomenally, you'll be all set if you ever want a much higher power green later on, and they also work with 405nm and 445nm too. Would be a good investment for starting the hobby ;D (You'd of course need a different pair of glasses for a red or 808nm IR laser though)

red yes. ir no. I recommended the ones that cover ir because many cheap grennies are not filtered.

But you are right you will need others for red :beer:
