dumb question about green laser pointers

First time poster who knows next to nothing about lasers...please be gentle.

Is 532 nm the only wavelength of green laser pointer available on the market?

I notice with red laser pointers you can get 635 nm or 650 nm red laser pointers and with blue pointers you can get a truer blue at 445 nm or a cyan type blue at 473 nm or a violetish blue at 405 nm.

I guess what I was wondering is if you could get a greenish laser that is closer to a yellowish green like chartreuse or a green closer to blue like sea green.

You can now get 515nm diodes... they are $250 a pop though.

Welcome! There are a million one posts on direct green diodes. If you use the search function at the bottom of the page you'll find them. I typed in "515 direct green" or you could try "510 green"

welcome! pretty good question i think. just remember search is your friend.

for the hobbyist, the 532 green is what is out there in pointers. the 515nm or so diodes are just beginning to appear, but pricey. if you get into gas lasers you can have a nice 543nm he ne beam. or a 514nm argon ion laser. this area of the visible spectrum has fewer choices for the collector than the blues and reds.

$300 if they can get 17 more people in the GB.
Then he has to build the laser.

So 532nm is the only cheap pointer.
I thought there was an expensive DPSS 556nm that someone got there hands on a while back.

Just as a note with the above, 561nm is much more common than 556nm. Not that either are common whatsoever. its described as an "almost ripe banana color" its one of the 3 laser colors I am trying very hard to get my hands on.

Laserglow has a bunch of exotic DPSS lasers in the green spectrum, they're just really REALLY expensive.
