I'm going to guess he made a 'flash hider' or pin hole. I have used the cheap vape tank tips as flash hiders on my DTR 22mm heatsinks. I opened up the focusing cap hole and glued on the tip to it. Works well and only looks slightly ghetto. Actually those heatsinks are completely ghetto. They have round finned aluminum heatsinks thermal epoxied to them too. But it works.

Yeah, it's kind of like that, I realized I got some school glue lying around and that the caps could go with the laser almost perfect, took three for the three lasers I have and did a hole at the top, used electrical tape so the cap could fit the laser better and this is the result. Good thing is that the caps can be removed and put in at any time





Please don't mind the "lines" the dot seems to be making, it's just how the camera captured it.
