Do these batteries destroy a laser?

it depends what driver board you have... some are 3.7-4.2v and some are 3v, but im sure you will be fine with 2 AAA.

Thanks, there were only two not rechargeable batteries, so i want some rechargeable, but i just found 1.2V and 3.5V.. I bought this one 50mW zelen laserov ukazovtko (I am from the Czech rep., so sorry for czech language :-D)

I would only use a 1.5V so you don't risk overpowering and damaging your laser. If alkaline batteries are going dead too fast on you, you can always try using lithium or rechargeable batteries. I use rechargeable's in my CNI 100mW pen and they last forever, they're marked at 1.2V but I haven't noticed any kind of power loss with my batteries.

wow that is a rip off... 836Kč is equal to around 41.50$
swimminsurfer256 sells overspec 5mW green lasers that peak around 50mW for around 15$.

from the same guy, but not on e-shop But it is true, that in Europe is everything very expensive so many people buy stuff from USA

Hey, don't be sorry for not having English as your first language. It's not a big deal at all.
About using 1.2V batteries, I have used them for a while now and I haven't noticed any visible power drop in my CNI 100mW Pen. I don't have a Laser Power Meter (LPM) to test and see if there is a power drop but I cant tell any difference. My laser burns things just the same and just as fast with 1.2V as it will with 1.5V.
P.S.
When you recharge a 1.2V to full it maxes out at around 1.4V so they're about the same when its fully charged.

No worries man! Yeah just give them a try, if you don't like them you can always return them. A lot of people here like the Sanyo Eneloop Rechargeable NiMH or Duracell rechargeable NiMH. I use Duracell myself and they work great for me. But just test some out and see if you like them.Thanks, thanks

True, but the voltage drops to 1.2V as soon as there is a current draw.
They do make rechargeable 1.5V AAA's, but they are hard to find. I just use 10440's and a dummy. Using rechargable's will save lots of money in the long run. I've gone through 100 AAA's in one week!:yabbem:
Using 1.2V rechargeable's in a 532nm (green) is not a good idea, it can cause mode-hopping, power sags and divergence problems. Most company's diode lasers don't seem to have problems with it, just lower mW output.

There is slight risk by overpowering your laser. Small voltage difference can do high current difference (100% no problem) so it´s quite hazardous to push 0.7V more over to the laserdiode. The same way as underpowering - but only what you put in a risk is low power output.Usually no damage possible here.
