Do green lasers burn the best?

You are STILL wrong. You're not understanding the basic concept here. Do you understand how light is measured? It's measured in wavelengths. The wavelength of visible light goes from about 750nm to 380nm. Doesn't it make sense that the faster a wave cycles the more energy it has? So the more energy a photon has the better it should burn right? Now you should be able to figure out the order, but there are other factors that contribute to burning.

im only 13 and in 7th grade :p, but im guessing this is the order :p
Red
Green
Violet
thats what im guessing, and by what i read, the faster one is 750nm and since red is about 650 , its the best for burning please tell me if im wrong, and while you do that, ill go read about photons and wavelengths

No, the longer the wavelength the slower it's cycling. You have to think about it logically.

Okay, first off, no one was flamimg you, we just jacked a page of your thread for our discussions.

Second:

You need to do more reading on the forum, use the search bar. All this information is already here.

And yes, violet is the best universal burner, but there are alot of other factors that play into this, especially with other colors.

And Third, how did you still miss that blu-ray and violet are the same wavelength, two posts under the one where I explained it....

Come on now folks, what kind of mean spirited image are we leaving here??

If I was a new member and everyone treated me like this, I would never return.

How in the heck can we help out others if we cannot even give a little of ourselves from time to time??

That is very true photon, and I admire your patience, but we have had several of these threads with the same questions leading to the same arguments, I like to help people as well, and usually do when I get the chance. Answering some simple questions is fine, but I feel that new members should be finding this information for themselves by searching and reading lots around the forum...

Otherwise I won´t recommend high powered lasers to a 13 year old boy, even if he is mature enough, I´m sure he has friends who aren´t that. Most of us were light in the head when we were in puberty :D

I understand, however jumping all over one new person because he accidentally made the same "mistake" as someone else prior is rather silly.

An analogy "story" if I may....

Bob, Dave & Sam 3 people who never met walk into a bar.

Bob asks the bartender "where is the bathroom" so the bartender says right behind you.

a few minutes later Dave asks the bartender the same question, Bartender says right behind you, but this time in a little harsher tone, (thinking to himself "I just answered that question you dipshit")

a few minutes later Sam walks up to the bar and asks "where is the bathroom" at this point the irritated bartender says "listen you moron, it's right behind you, there is a frigging sign on the damn door you idiot"

Soon the word gets out, Stay clear of the LPF club, the bartenders are mean there.

as for dropping a neg rep on a newbie for asking a question, well that would be like the bartender slashing the tires on Sam's car for asking where the bathroom is.

Is that right?? is that proper??

To me the answer is a resounding NO.

and since this analogy is working out so well right now....

Not everyone scopes out the place and commits the bathroom location to memory before the have to use it, more often than not, most people wait until they have a full bladder before the worry about where it is located, by then the sense of urgency has elevated.

I changed my mind. I now think blue cars are the fastest, even faster than red cars.
