i don't understand that's the real green power of these 2 green pen.
i read about 130mw (120 ir filtered) and about 200mw (176 ir filtered),

THIS ISN'T POSSIBILE......!!!!! 23$ for true green over 170mw?.....if it is true... no one will buy an optotronics 150 if this 23$ laser could be at same output.
what about beam divergence? over 1.5mrad or less?

The diode might be driven so it has a shorter lifespan, and the crystals might be rated for less power.

The question is what the stability from one unit to the next? I have dozens of cheap greens and even from the same source they vary from 3-60mW when rated at 5mW. This could be just a freak laser.

I once heard that the a laser that takes a while to warm up is more likely to be of higher quality and stability than a laser that immediately jumps to overspec. I do not know if this is true, but it's food for thought.

This is why I haven´t professional power tested them. Also the IR containing is a rough guess with goggles in front. Once I get the other two 80mW pens, I´m gonna test them with IR filter, IR goggles..
I´ve powered my former 400mW 808nm IR laser FIREDRAGON V with 1x 10440 & 1x 1.5V --- it was outputting >700mW then, at least it ran ~30-45min with these batt combination. Now it´s in the hands of an other member who is gonna check the inner workings,

The thing is 2 aaa cells over here cost around $2.50 and I will have to replace them every 1 to 1 1/2 weeks which would leave me poor... I wish i could buy aaa cells for 50c a pack

Cheap trick:

Take a rechargeable 10440 and a long chain of the DX cube rare earth magnets. Use the single 3.7 V lithium ion, and the magnets to bridge the empty space.

It's giving you more voltage than expected (4.1 at peak charge, vs... 3?) However, in every application I've tried, this hasn't been a problem. I'm using a wireless Microsoft mouse right now that is meant for 2xAAA but runs beautifully on 1x10440 and a bridged second slot.

Obviously, try at your own risk.

Aren´t there any good quality 1.5V rechargeable AAA cells around? I know those from ACCUCELL, but you can only recharge them up to 30 times.

I´ve done the test with a 10440 batt and the neodyme-magnets like rhd suggested.

The battery had 3.49V and I took the smaller Neocube version (2mm), bought from buyincoins.

Someone might built a dummy battery for the connection or we look for a AAA sized case to fill in the magnets.

It´s is working fine, but the higher Voltage also increase the IR amount!

2x 1.5V NEW Duracell batts = >200mW (~30mW IR)
1x 3.5V 10440+neocube = >190mW (but 70mW IR!!)

Now tell me what´s going on

Well, now i'm curious to see if this happens only to me, or if is a generalized scam .....

I go on DD site, and order 3 items ..... 70 Euro total ..... note that all the 3 items are marked clearly as "worldwide free shipping" ..... now, i have a valid 10% discount code, and i apply it, the site say me "code accepted" and correct the amount to 63 Euro (70 minus 10%) .....

Now i go on paypallink, and it say me "pay 70 Euro" ..... what ? ..... i check the list, and find that the objects previously marked (ALL them) "worldwide free shipping", now are charged 7 Euro as "shipping fees" ..... tried 3 times, all the times the same results.

I personally call this a scam system, but before, i want to check if this happens only to me (cause i understand that this can also be a glitch or script malfunction), or if it's a generalized scam for turn all the discount coupons in "shipping fees" and fraud buyers .....

EDIT: i tried with different items and currencies, and still having the same result .....

145$ free shipping > apply coupon > 130.5$ free shipping > going paypal > 145$ to pay (magically added $14.5 shipping)
150AU$ free shipping > apply coupon > 135AU$ free shipping > going paypal > 150AU$ to pay (magically added 15AU$ shipping)
95£ (GBP) free shipping > apply coupon > 85.5£ free shipping > going paypal > 95£ to pay (magically added 9.5£ shipping)

very efficent discount coupon :p

^^^LMFAO. I had the same thing happen to me on the gadgettown.com site. Unless it's a code for a specific amount of money, like $3 or something, the % off codes never seem to work on those sites.

I am really interested in this 80mw green pointer. I'll probably order one in the near future and hope for a >100mw greenie. any idea on how long shipping will take?

This depends on where you are located. I'm in the US (Indiana)

I ordered mine on May 4th and had them in hand on May 16th. That's actually very good considering that they shipped out of Hong Kong.

If you stick with their lasers that say "Certified Power" - well, I've consistently been impressed. I think they're literally LPMing each one before it goes out.

Agreed. I was skeptical until I ordered these. The feedback on DD hasn't been the best around here. I'm sold now though. The little 60mw pen I ordered for my wife and she loves it. It seems rock stable and there is no way it's under 60mw. Best low cost pen I've bought to date.

Why are the reviews on these lasers repetitive?
Im going to purchase the 80mW laser in this post, but the reviews in the link are found else where to, verbatim excluding specific details.
One even says a RED LASER. Something is extremely fishy about this site. I know they sell decent products but really? Faking customer reviews is not acceptable.
I might hold off on buying anything from there.
Edit:
Simply pushing the back button then you will see striking green laser light shoots forth. Therefore, this green laser pointer is a very good tool for teachers, professors and students, especially those who are going to give presentations.

Fail statement says, because there is a button on the back of it, it works great for presentations? o.0
I side top button would work better -.-
