So today I got my new 532nm 150mW pen from laserbtb.com.

I opened it and inserted the batteries, used the keyswitch to "green" and tried it. Nothing happened, or the blue led indicator did light up but noting more than that.... So the LED is lit up but no laserpower coming out. Someone know what could be wrong? Something with the keyswitch or something?

Also tried to heat it and its not to cold nor to hot...

Your laser is probably defect. Contact laserbtb.com for repair or refund.

Did you open the aperture shutter in the front ?

Cant see any aperture shutter on this one...

Already mailed them, I absolutely think they will take the responsibility for it but you know the delivery and everything -.-

Did you try taking it apart by any chance.

It looks like there are some marks on the host.

SKY will most likely come through, but obviously you're gonna need to ship the laser back :(

But would the LED indicator be lit then? Could it be just bad batteries? I use AA, alkaline 1.5V

Nope, it is just some dust, not a scratch on the host

Try with a different set of batteries. For these kind so of lasers, IMO, nimh rechargeables work the best.

These for example: Sanyo Eneloop 4 AAA Cells

Also see if when you turn on the laser, and point it at a piece of paper, there is a red/pink glow.

As always... NEVER stare/look directly into the laser.

Yes also tought of just IR output and tried to point it to an IR camera but nothing.... I will try different batteries soon, think i have re-chargeble at home... :)

Kevin on skylasers is the man!

He pay the shipping from Sweden to China, fix/replace it and then he will send it back via FedEx for free... WOW didn´t even choose express shipping when I bought it. :bowdown:

Glad to hear everything will be OK! I also had to sent a laser back to Skylasers because it was underspec. They received it today and will do testing, after that I can get a refund + shipping refunded :D
