You're not the only member thinking this, quite a few people here are waiting for a review of it.

It looks like it has a beam expander for sure. It's too bad they don't offer this model in anything over 100mW, it would definitely look like a light saber with that thick beam at 300mW+ !

From the one picture I can see what appear to clearly be two lenses on the laser. I think it does, which for this price is a great deal.

Placing an order... as soon as O-like gets back to me... paypal link is not working properly through them.

I'll review the laser once I receive it obviously:p

Hmm, found their PP address but this is new...

It's one of their regular hosts with a muiltilens focusing module attached to it....what else can it be? The beam is pretty thick in the picture too. This thing scares me though...imagine the range on it...

Is it possible to remove the beam expander and attach it to other models carried by O-like?

Unless is it AR coated for a specific wavelength?

Subscribed to this thread! I am interested as well. I am not too concerned about the power it produces (O-like stuff is pretty good), the main thing here is the beam expander. With that kind of aperture, 10km pointing should be a piece of cake. (you'd need to be assisted by optics in order to see the dot, of course)

Here's a 20 mile one!

Id imagine you could use this on any 532.. For 445nm its not only
the coating that will give you trouble.. The lenses will most likely
have a different working distance if say used with a 445. So you
could probably still make it work, though I doubt it will with out some
mods changing the distance between the lenses.. beyond what the adjustment
already allows.

You also have one other problem.. The first lens expands, and focuses
the beam down. If the 2nd lens coated for 532 comes in contact with this
tiny spot, you now run the risk of melting glass if the coating absorbs enough
energy.

Last week or so, I had the idea of removing 808nm AR coating from a prism.
I used 1.5W, and while it was able to remove the coating, it also started melting glass

If you try this with a 445, I'd suggest hitting the 2nd lens with a fine
point somewhere on the edge before considering running 445nm through it.

Same thing with red, the distance is gong to vary. Though you dont have to
worry about melting glass as you do with 445 :eg:

I got paid to build a laser for one of my customers from match.com, once i get the driver in i can finish his laser. Im going to get this laser from O-like as soon as i can. Im gonna do the cheap shipping so it might be a bit before i get it.

really want to get that 400mW beast they have for $205, but this laser looks like it might be fun when i go on vacation in july to the beach.

Wow... looks like i have to wait longer. O-Like doesnt use paypal so i have to wait for my money to be transferred into my bank(3-4 days)
