here is what i guess from the specks wavelength:532nm
Output Power:>100mw

Beam diameter:8-10mm--not a good beam (relatively) as it is very wide..a whole centimeter! BUT!
divergence : <1mrad amazing divergence! im guessing you can hit things miles away and still have a small dot!...agreed?

Well received mine today, broken... Pick it up and knew as soon as I grabbed It, it wouldn't work. There was a lot of rattling inside. Took off the lens cover on top to discover the piece that holds the crystal(sorry can't think of the name for some reason) un glued and was just smacking the diode assembly everytime it was moved. It looks like the piece was too small to fit, so they used a crap ton of glue to hold it in place. This sucks.

That well and truly sucks. They will ask you to ship the laser back to them, and will send you a replacement once you're able to provide proof that it's been shipped out. Unfortunately that means using expensive, tracked shipping, and waiting around for a replacement.

I hope not, I don't have enough money to be spending on that right now. All they packed it in was, well nothing. It was in a black cover you can strap to your belt and in a paper package. The laser was pretty much getting knocked back and forth constantly I bet, and w/o any packaging to take the blows or keep it in place. Not happy at all.

That's pretty unusual. My packages from o-like came in either boxes, with foam inside, or the laser came wrapped in at least a double layer of bubble wrap, with that covered in tape.

Send them a picture of what happened. Since the laser is basically dead, see if maybe they would be willing to offer you partial credit, like $70 back or something, so you can reorder, and just sell this one, broken for the difference.

Not sure how much it would go for broken, but I'd be willing to take it for ~$15-20 shipped just to play around with.

thats really weird most lasers are packed like this one in this vid Unboxing O-Like blue laser - YouTube it is usually in the foam box...idk what they were thinking

Ya, they wrote on the outside of the package insured for $25 and it was a flashlight... I'm sure it got tossed around the whole time. Shipping wasn't free, had to pay $8.99 for shipping.

I'm really sad to see your laser in that condition TacoHerder. I ordered the 100mW 532nm O-like Beam expander one as well and it didn't come in a lot of packaging either. I believe it was placed in the holster (mine was camo rather than black) and just within the bubble wrap lined envelope. Luckily mine arrived without damage and seems to work fine.

I don't have an LPM yet but it seems on spec. The beam is about 1cm wide and has a pretty wide range of focus so you can make it converge at a point around 3 to 4 feet in front of you for the narrowest point in the beam < 1cm or focus the dot to a wide spotlight. I haven't been able to try it out to see how the beam expander helps reduce the divergence for long range viewing of the dot.

I definitely agree that O-like could have packaged them better, I too was thinking it could have had a lot more bubble wrap. Basically it's just the holster and the thin lining of the envelope's bubble wrap that is all that is there to protect it.

I hope O-like gives you a timely replacement!

have you seen how far it can go at night? also with such a wide beam, when focused to infinity what does the beam look like compared to a normal beam?

TacoHearder - My condolences. Are you going to get it replaced? Can you use the lens with another laser to test it?

I think Deathstarlaser might have been asking me how mine works, I was lucky to have mine arrive in good condition unlike TacoHerders unfortunate DOA from O-like...

I've just been able to do a few quick peaks of it outdoors. There is a tall tree about 250 or so feet away that is about the farthest safe object to point at near my place. I probably will try and go someplace to find a better location to point further distances outdoors because I live in a semi busy neighborhood.

The beam itself is slightly dimmer than an equivalent 100mW green because it is wider (about 1cm.) It is hard to judge the divergence until I can point at some much further objects but for now it looks very parallel when focused to infinity. When I focus it so it converges about 3 to 4 feet in front of me it looks like the thinnest point of the beam is maybe 0.5 to 0.7 cm wide. I guess I am not really sure the best way to measure divergence yet. I could probably do some measurements indoors with shorter ranges, but I need to get some goggles that protect from IR and 532nm. I asked to have an IR filter installed but Susie said it would not fit.

I really like it so far and can't wait to take it somewhere safe in the outdoors to try some longer range experimentation.

I feel really bad that TacoHerders' did not arrive in good condition, I am really enjoying mine and I hope he gets a good working one too!

Did you not read that this laser arrived broken?

Im still waiting for them to respond to my email. I lost my green 5mW laser somehow. So I cant see how the beam expander does. It was my first laser so im PO'd I cant find it. Dont know if the beam expander will hold up to my 287mW 660nm, or the 500mW 405nm. Wouldnt think to even attempt my 1.3W 445nm

Thanks for all the kind words. This weekend wasnt good for me. From sitting on my sunglasses to finding out the thermostat housing on my car is cracked.... AND they dont make that part anymore for me to buy ;( So unless JB WELD works i will have a permanent coolant leak. No wonder SAAB went out of business. Also found out the kittens im taking care of have bad fleas...
