Woahh before i came to this site, i was seriously intending to buy tonnes of stuff from awesome lasers, lucky i didnt then. Probably would have ruined the hobby for me, getting dodgey lasers and what not.

This guy may be weird/sick, but doesn't necessarily mean he is doing a bad business. People, stay logical and objective, because it sounds more like high school bashing than an educated conversation.

Besides the personal issues, he's been lying blatantly on his website and ebay sales.
Like claiming his 445nm diodes weren't harvested from a projector.
Besides that, I saw a picture of one of his diodes and there was some gooey stuff
smeared onto them that didn't belong there at all.
His "secret formula protective coating" or some bullshit.

Really, dude. Don't try to defend this scumbag, or you will have a hard time on this forum.

You need to read more about him then. Making such statements without having read all of the relevant info shows your problem not ours.

Since you appear unwilling to do the needed research and your statement here may influence some other NooB, here are a couple of examples for you --

How about him charging $49 just for shipping on a 445nm diode pressed into an AixiZ module? That $49 does NOT include the cost of the module. That is just for the shipping. His price to buy the module varies from a low of ~$29 to a high of ~$50. This module weighs less than one ounce!

How about him claiming that they are "brand new" and "unused" from some secret source (while actively warning people about the dangers of harvesting diodes), when his photos clearly show the remnants of them being harvested from the only, well-known, source?

Are these examples "bad business" related enough for your critical thinking skills?

My recommendation remains the same - AVOID him like the plague

Ha ha ha, I first met dave on his YouTube thread where he was trying to sell Arctic Spiders for mega $$$ when no one was receiving theirs. Claimed he preordered quite a few and guaranteed delivery. A couple of people (ok, ok, me being the a-hole I am some times was the main culprit) made fun of some of the wild claims he made in his video like that it could blind someone from miles and miles away in a fraction of a second while shown in the video playing with it, without shades, in his apartment. I posted that, that claim was not realistic and his persona was as if he what trying to be a mafia mobster of lasers. Guy went ballistic saying he would burn my eyes out with the laser, cussing and everything.

Saw him again a couple of months ago on CNN or MSNBC? Same douche spouting the same "it can cut a man in half" bs while shining it at a sky scraper on national news.

Got to hand it to him, he appears to be doing very well at the Free Advertisement game.

Totally agree, I think prolonged, agonizing torture, publicly broadcast and humiliated to to the farthest extent before finally, days later being fed to some sort of predator (or even a pig I guess).
My way solves a few problems, torture is something people try to avoid at all costs.
Publicly broadcast leaves no question what will happen if you do this sick $H!#.
Humiliation negates the "desire to be important" (which is said to be the most "driving" desire)
Being eaten brings us back to our primitive days when we were "prey", millions die in war and don't fear death but being killed and eaten give most people a chill down the spine. Supposed to be the most horrible method of death (being food).

IMO, THAT is what they deserve.

Here in lies the issue. I agree 100% for those that are guilty (not found guilty as in the Salome witch trials) What if you or I are wrongly accused, found guilty and fed to the pigs, blind folded an pushed off a roof top.. What happens to those that sentenced you to that fate if you were actually innocent after the punishment was served? Do they get pushed or fed to the pigs? Reality is money usually walks (OJ?). I don’t consider myself poor but defiantly don’t have the money to pay Sappiro to defend me. (Seen the news latley about GE not paying taxes and its legal. I dont pay and I go to jail.) IMHO, cops are crooked (some of them if that offends you). Say one crooked cop says you did a bad thing, his word is gold, Do we feed you to the pigs? A couple of years ago in dallas, there were a group of cops that were arresting people for cocaine possession, those people were found guilty and went to jail. Dallas police frame and deport Hispanics It was later found out that the cops were planting gypsum (dry wall) on them. In Fort Worth, cops were changing what charge was on the ticket to get more federal funding.

I'm all about being crazy sadistic on the guilty but have reservations about someone saying I did the crime and feeding me to the pigs just because 12 tools agreed with the highest price lawyer.

To that end, I'd feed David Todeschini to the pigs just for the simple fact that I dont like him... and he's probably done things he shouldn't have.

There are of course, failings in the justice system (I paid $2000 for one of them last year) but there are also open and shut cases where the defendant was caught with his pickle in the pickle jar so to speak and the guy spends so much time (and money) in court that he should have gone to hell years before he was/will ever be convicted.
For most cases, they did it, everyone knows they did it, it has been proven they did it, etc.
Getting bum raped behind a prison wall does nothing to keep others from doing the same thing. My way would be a somber reminder of what happens if you can't keep your pickle in the willing :crackup:
