Hey Djeep,

I'd go all the way and get the 200mw DX. It's an amazing laser for the price. On a fresh set of Alkalines mine can pop a black balloon from 10 feet away and light matches easily. Plus the beam is intense at night and goes for leagues.

Just make sure you invest in a pair of green laser glasses (they're red plastic) to protect your eyes. When you get above 100mw, blinding yourself is a distinct possibility if you catch a bad reflection.

Cheers, CC

I have heard that the higher dx lasers also emit a dangerous amount of ir. Normal laser goggles don't protect you from that.

We have professional green laser light pointer,5wm,50wm,100mw,200mw.Our green beam laser pointers are the finest quality available. 50 times brighter than a red laser diode and can reach up to 12,500 ft. At night, the entire beam of the green laser is visible to the naked eye, not just the green dot. This is what makes it so fun and useful. Some professional uses: Astronomy, Professional presentations, Bird watching, Construction Engineering, Camping, Hiking, Survival signaling.Welcome to have a look!

the diode itself is good. not excellent, but good. however, EVERYTHING else sucks. the case, the insides, how it's put together, the circuitry, and hte button.
when u hold down the button the beam fades in and out, and usually you have to hold down the button right on, if you do it at an angle it may not get a good connection...
the thing is not built to be portable, if you drop it once it's dead. al of hte insides gets knocked around.

this laser might be good for taking apart and modding into a different case, but by all means DONT by this laser if you plan on using it how it is.

I have the true 100mw...It is somewhat short of the stated power but is a very nice, bright beam, I use it in my spiro projector outdoors (at night of course) and the image is very bright.

i have the true 30mW already, and its fun, but i want MORE!! heh... how much does the 200mW put out in terms of 532nm? in other words... has anyone tested the amount of IR power coming out vs GREEN power?

170mW of 532 with lithium batteries, 130mW with alkalines. As for the IR output, I have no idea. I'll test it once my 200 arrives (couple days) and my meter (week).

The True means it's a genuine NewWish laser as opposed to a copy, and that usually means a little more output and you're way more likely to get a good one. (80% good for trues, vs. like 60% non trues)

Sounds tempting for just over 100 bucks..

By the way, I assume they're identical to the Kaidomain lasers? Has anyone ever bought from them? They are even cheaper.

My 150mW Kaidomain laser is 50mW.
My 150mW DX laser was >100mW but is now 5mW.
Go DX over Kai.

My Kai 50mw is nowhere near 50, the clicky switch is now a momentary switch and delivery was longer than from DX.

I am not too unhappy with it though, it is bright and very neat, still good VFM as it was very cheap.
