Hi! I'm about to buy a 5mW green laser pointer but i need some help. My question is - What is best seller for small amount of money like 10 bucks? I was looking on LedShoppe, eBay and DealExtreme. I heard that LedShoppe have many overspec lasers. I want truly 5mW laser because it is a biggest power that can't damage an eye. What is best shop for quality lasers that are not overspec for small amount of money?

I don't agree with this. You can't put a strict limit on something.
It depends on what you do with your laser.

I recommend an eBay laser pen, green, there is a thread about them which contains 405nm too. I suggest you get a green one, and be careful where you aim it.

And, Welcome to the forum!

Thanks! Where is the approximately line of laser safety? Are lasers on eBay always onspec?

There are a lot of factors that affect the line of laser safety power. As long as you don't look into the aperture while the laser is on, or point it at other ppl and animals, 50mW is just fine.
However, you must take care about reflective surfaces, like glass and mirrors.

About eBay, it is like gambling; you might get a powerful laser, or you might not. Most 5mW lasers on eBay are overspec, and are around 20-40mw, some up to +100mW (those are rare, and hard to find). But for that price, it is really worth gambling.

With great power comes great responsibility.

You don't need glasses for that one, if you use it normally.

I would take the 50mW version if I were you, but if you aren't sure, take the 5mW one.

At 50mW it is still safe not to have glasses, but you have to be extra careful, and not point at other living or reflective things. Treat the lasers the same as loaded guns.

I think that my choice will be the Wicked Lasers Core. I think that is best 5mW laser out there for that money with shipping.

I think an eBay pen is better, especially those 4.5$ greenies, as they are expendable.

Or, if you want a good 5mW green laser, and you have more money, go at optotronics or laserglow, they are much better than WL.

I was there and shipping to Croatia seems very much to me. Etc. laser is 40 bucks and shipping is about that price. 80 dollars is a bit much for me. Like I said I want a real and durable 5 mW.

What about this one? And 30$ for a 5mW is a waste, IMO, cause those lasers are expendable (4,5$ per piece). So if you want a good one, yet only 5mW, then take opto or laserglow or maybe even a CNI laser.

Do as you want, but wait for other members to respond.
