Just talked with Junktronix He said he can Properly Test them on his Ando AQ-6315A Optical Spectrum Analyzer.
I'm Gonna buy one and have it shipped to him.

Excellent, looking forward to the results! :D

The spec sheet states 505nm.
Just an question if these do turn out to be 505nm.
How much would someone charge to take this and make it into a 18650 build for me? If the price is reasonable then I might take the plunge.

I'm hoping for a decent beam profile. I take it that it is single mode.

Not necessarily single mode, but hopefully.

I'll take 4! :D
I hope so too. Single mode 505nm for low price. Too good to be true?

Did anyone else notice this is listed as a refurbished diode? I don't think it is far enough away from 510nm to be worth the $40.00 expense.

I also can't see any information saying that Sharp make a diode anywhere near this wavelength, the closest I've found is 450nm.

The model number I came up with is GH05035A2G but I can't find any information on it other than from Chinese sellers.

I'll keep digging.

Edit: News release from ~6-7 months ago stating that they were going to mass produce green diodes, no timeline on ETA.

It says Sharp will start mass production in Fukushima, Japan. Wonder how that place is holding up.

Didn't even click, but for the Geiger counter it did. ;)
Lol, even better. :D
As for the validity of those diodes, I'll do some research tomorrow as well.

It sure would be. Another wavelength in our collection. And a nice one as well. 505nm is beautiful and very close to the scotopic peak.

Hey Radim, I think arythna is the member who has a 561nm in a pointer, here's a -Link- to his review thread! :)

Yes, that's what I was talking about, Bowtie. Thanks. Unfortunately I do not see those awesome photos of it anymore. :( Whatever I noticed you coloured the link for reference. ;)
