Ahoy there lads,
I am looking for a focusable green laser as stated in the topic.
500mW+

I've poked around on eBay ,asking Techhood and Laserland about their modules , but it appears that all of their lab modules are not focusable and will require external collimation lens. Their lasers cost around $350 , and with the lens . Bringing the total cost to around $400 ish.
That's alright I suppose.

However, since I plan to use the modules as the basis of my DIY portable PG later on.
That kinda size really limits my options.....

I've poked around at O-like ,there are a few $300USD 500mW+ laser pointers and lab modules..

Thats seems.... rather awkward .

Especially when I go search up CNI , DragonLaser , EVEN LASERER are charging 700+ HECK!
Some even charges as much as $2000USD for that sort of power.
Making me kinda suspicious of their quality......
So here is a question.

If I want a focusable 532nm 500mW+ laser , where can I get one for preferably less than $500 USD ?

Would much appreciate the help.

Cheers .

Get the olike crown upgrades those are focusable.

but of questionable quality tho.
My last 445nm 1W from O-like was almost 20% underspecs from the name and 10% underspecs if we count from the margin....

To be frank , I wouldn't mind a lab module if focussing wouldn't be such a fuss.
Hard to convert a lab module when you need to line the lens up manually later on....

Have you looked at the Jetlasers PL-E Pro 532 500mW?
Most all are overspec, and all are high quality, and they are focusable!
The Group buy prices may still be available, look in G.B. section.

Just did.
VERY alluring!

But then as I scrolled along.
I noticed another GB for SOKY

Both of them with similarly good reviews , but generally there are more people owning jet lasers than SOKY....

Can someone give me some insight to this please?

They are both good companies.
You could contact Hackzaw regarding the Jetlasers, he would be the most knowlegable!
IMO J/L is one of the best companies out there!

Haven´t seen high powered handheld greens with a better divergence as the old WL Spyder II or the silver RPLs from Opto.

You may also check out the CNI GB bloompyle is runnin, very good prices for high powered 532nm lasers.

What's wrong with using a lens with a lab laser?

edit: nvm, thought you were looking for a 1/2W lab laser.

I was looking for a 500mW 532nm laser ...
Since at my price range, I THOUGHT my only option was to convert a lab module to a portable laser by velcroing it to my forearm and then making a Ghostbuster style chassis out of a freighter frame backpack I used to use.
710270406_385efee753.jpg

Which I'll then put my lead acid battery , portable inverter , and a PSU unit so I can use it as a *cough COUGH COUGH!!! *portable laser...

But now , seeing that there are Group Buys out there that is FAR FAR FAR Cheaper than that option.
Like SOKY or JetLaser going for around $400USD.
There are even CNI GB selling at only $280!!!!!!

Now all that matters now is..

Is the GB still going?
ESPECIALLY if the CNI GB is still up.
I mean.
WOW! $280 for a 500mW 523!
Focusable and made by CNI!!
Thats something right there!
