okay i am planning on buying a new laser soon, it will be either 200mw green laser or a 1w blue one
i know that blue one will burn better but i am not really interested into that.
i already have 50mw green laser

so i am asking which one should be brighter? which one will have more visible beam?
i know that green lasers are brighter mw to mw, but which one will be brighter when green one is 5 times lower power?

thanks!

I'm not sure but my 100mw green is about as bright as my 1w blue and my 250mw green outshines the 1w blue hope this helps.

True 200mW green will be more visible than 1W blue imho.

Refer to my avatar... the green beam on the left is 400mW+

It was far more visible than even the 2W monster...

The green laser will be brighter. If you aren't into burning then get the green one.

and i guess it would be much saferthan the 1w blue laser, right?

^^^Yes... but that's sort of like saying a .22 will not hurt as much as a .45;)

If either hits you in the eye, you're in trouble.

true, true.
i was also wondering..what is the difference between these lazerer lasers because i was considering buying them, i mean they are all 200mw :

LZCS - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZMN - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZBH - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZGN - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer
LZCB - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

i know that difference between these lasers is the looks and type of battery.
but do they have different beam specs? better or worse cooling? longer life of the laser? they are all focusable i think. so what is the big difference?

oh and do you know any other lasers from other companies that are true 200mw of green light and they are around 90$-100$ ?

There are several reviews on this model: LZCS - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

All of them are quite positive... I have that laser as well. I didn't do extensive testing but it is >175mW with low IR content. I would keep it to a two minute duty cycle.

All of them are focusable, although some more than others... personally I would drop this LZMN - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer from the finalists... It's small, but also offers very little heasinking... so if you do get it, I would keep duty cycles low.

If you don't mind spending a little extra, and sacrificing a bit of beam quality, go for the waterproof version. IMHO either that or this one: LZGN - 532nm 200mW Focusable Green Laser Pointer

Also I don't know how set you are on 200mW... problem is 200mW diodes often don't actually hit 200mW, but end up being in the ~150mW range. The reason I mention this is that I see the lasers are out of stock.

^^^Calculator is NOT entirely accurate. For example it does not take beam diameter and variable divergence into account.

It's a useful tool, but aside from seeing the lasers side by side, there is really no good way to convey the difference.

what about some other companies ? which one would you guys recommend ? i dont really care about beam divergence. i will just be very happy with strong beam and focusable.

so i am asking about (cheap) 200mw green focusable laser. that's all. what would you recommend?
is dinodirect any good? i know that you guys would say o like or rayfoss, but its a lil bit too much for my budget and it seems they have the same quality lasers as lazerer. but they are out of stock. so what company would you recommend?

In order of preference, lazerer.com, o-like.com, rayfoss.com.

After those, I would go with priceangels, or gadgettown.

(Gadgettown return shipping is to a warehouse in brooklyn, ny, if there is a problem.)

If you're going with Dino, only the lasers marked as Guaranteed, Power Certified are worth it imo.

It's really not likely that you will get anywhere near 200mW though, unless you go with the power certified/guaranteed lasers from dino.

With the other two, it's also close to a lottery in terms of output.

You're better off ordering from one of the three companies I listed first and getting a 150mW, than ordering a 200mW from elsewhere, which might not be even close to spec.

i think lazerer guarantees their output and lpm's each one before shipment?
o-like is iffy right now
dont know much about rayfoss
but everything else, you will most likly get 50mw - 150mw if you are LUCKY
stick with lazerer
they are the best as of now :)
