evo pro by a landslide, just look at all the great reviews, I'm a fan of O-like, but quality wins here, also since the evo pro 130mW was once $520

I agree that it's better, big question was worth $90 more? especially since i don't really have an real purpose besides wanting an high powered green. I'm not using it for burning or any real purpose, just something to play around with. In some ways i wish i would've bought the Evo, but it is about 2x the price. Maybe i should just buy them both and compare them personally? If i really wanted, i could spare the cash, but then i'd probably only use the one i like and never the other, especially when considering they are about the same. Most likely I'd use the Evo more simply because it's AA battery powered.

For your purpose, I'm almost confident that you'd like the evo pro not simply because it takes double AA, but mainly because of the quality it has to offer, and all the features, I myself am trying to save for it too.

I just received an email back from O-like about their 150mw cute green:

"order@o-like.com" <order@o-like.com>
To: me

Yes,sir,we will measure its outpower when we ship it,and the average
output is more than 130mw,and its divergence is 1.5mrad or so

Thats seems to be exactly the same divergence the review for the 100mw cute green said.

I ordered a 100mw Evo.I will let you know how long it takes to get and how it performs. If it is the same quality as my 40mw Evo it will be an outstanding laser.

The WL is SLIGHTLY better in every way, average power is 150mW and up to 160mW, <1.2mRad divergence and more common power source. Now this is the one i want!

Man where were you Evo supporters earlier?? I already ordered the O-like! When I posted it everyone was saying go for the O-like, so I did. I do like the small style and Click button, but the WL was the one i wanted cuz of AA, beam divergence and Quality, but didn't want to fork out extra money. Now i'm in the process of trying to cancel it to get the WL, but if i can't I'm sure I'll still like the O-like. The best part about a $100 laser is its cheap enough i won't be afraid to take it out of the house.

Why go with the evo? The executive is clearly better at 2 meters and beyond.
Compare the Properties of Wicked Laser Beams

Their graph represents 1.5mrad divergence for the evo and 1mrad divergence for the executive.

Exec: 6.6-1.6 = 5mm spread in 5 meters. = 1mrad divergence

Evo: 8.3-.8 = 7.5mm spread in 5 meters. = 1.5mrad divergence

If someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.

*Edit* I noticed that the evo divergence is listed as 1.2mrad under the technical specs, but its listed as 1.5mrad when you are in the "compare the properties of WL" page. Seem like more WL bullshit to me.

@Gixxer I would be happy not buying from WL if I were you. These people are evil liars.

Hey cistercian, thought I would add my two cents as I have been keeping a close eye on WL since the Arctic was first announced. Be prepared for a prolonged wait for your Evo. You made a good choice but at a bad time. Me personally, I think WL is a great company with great products but right now they are all backed up because of the Arctic. If you go to their website and read through the forums you will see that they seem to be concentrating on getting the situation with the Arctic under control and this is having a detrimental effect on orders for all of their products.

I'm not saying that you wont get your Evo in a timely manner, but judging from what I am seeing you may be in for a wait of several weeks. And worse yet WL customer support at this time is virtually non existent. Anyway good luck, you will love the Evo once you get it. I have a buddy that has one and it's quality and performance at this price point is without peer.

hahaha, we'll i'll see what happens with O-like, i might get it anyways! lol.

Btw the comparison page has their old models, not the 2010 Pro series so the divergence is different. So the Evo is actually very much the same if not better since smaller beam diameter from aperture and AA is better than AAA, 2.5x the capacity in rechargeable form plus from what I've heard the Evo has better heatsink capabilities.

I am stoked. For me the clincher is that the 100mw costs 10 dollars more than I paid for my 40mw Evo pro.Very exciting to get 60mw more for 10 dollars!!I am hoping it will ship fast because it is in stock. My main hope is that it is the same quality as my 40mw...if it is it is a HUGE bargain. My 40mw Evo Pro is very stable and has excellent beam quality. It also does not eat the AA cells fast...which is nice.An all around epic laser.
I am out of town on business for 7 days...which should help with the wait!

The 130mW will probably eat batteries, from what i've read its about 150mW stable which is a lot of power consumption. And just because it says in stock means nothing, all of their lasers say that but none of them are! However, they were suppose to get shipment either last week or this week so hopefully it won't take too long.

Can you do a divergence test for us? Like put some graph paper on a distant wall and see what the diameter is?

I tried canceling my O-like for the WL Evo but looks like my order shipped from O-like today so that won't be happening. I'm sure it's still a great laser, and at $99 a good price. I'll let you guys know when i get it.

I sure will.I still have to do a review of some very old lasers I have...so I will post the whole thing in the review thread.I have a 100 foot test range I can use in the backyard.I will use black paper so I can shoot it without too much bloom.

I found my faith in O-like shaken when they didn't respond to my second email. I also didn't like that one of a users 100mw cute died after half an hour of use.

Emboldened by Glenns (scope20) ledshoppe 50mw green laser measurements, I went and bought 3.
