I really like the looks of this housing but wondered what all could be hosted in it?

LINK to: XENO CUBE E11 V7 Flashlight

It looks like the driver is a linear driver with 3 modes.

*.Using Ni-MH battery:
Low (135mA/40lms/4hrs), Ultra Low (20mA/10lms/20hrs), High (450mA/140lms/1hr)
*.Using Li-ion battery
Low (350mA/110lms/2hrs), Ultra Low (150mA/50lms/5hrs), High (800mA/220lms/1hr)

Would it be possible to keep this driver and use it in a laser application? If not I still think the housing is sweet.

They're aren't cheap. I didn't want to link to a sales site for fear of people thinking it was spam. I've seen them from $79 to $100. Not cheap enough to go out and get if it won't work.... but for a high power build it becomes a little less relevant.

Yeah! It was Lazerer's one that got me looking!

One advantage with the Cube host, it won't rolled off the table by accident. It happens to me once with the C6 host, destroying the glass window and denting the host on stone floor. You can still that host in my C6 collection picture, the one with the tape around :D

That host is awesome! I made one of my first 260mW 660's in that host run off two cr123a's

My next build in that host will be a 1watt 445 with a custom focus adapter :D

What happened to it?

Do you have a parts list for the build? Do you have any details of the build? How much of a PIA was it? What parts were used and what parts were tossed? How much custom machining was done?

DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS!!!!!!! :thanks:

I'm not sure what you mean "What happened to it?"
I still have it and I have 3 more of the same host that I'm building some 1W M140 445's in.
Here is a link to the host:
Small Sun A33 Square Tube Flashlight(18650) With 3 Modes, 120 Lumens | eBay
A lot cheaper than $79-$100 bucks.

I own a mini metal lathe that I make the heat sinks and focus adapters on.*The stock driver will not work but the pill has room to fit a micro Flexdrive v5. You will have to make a battery contact board to fit where the 17mm round stock driver was. The host comes anodized black but I De-anodized and polished it to a mirror finish and it looks great :D
If you need any more details let me know.
Hope this helps

Sweet! Thanks a ton!

I didn't know if you still had it. Didn't recognize it in your sig.

Would you be willing to sell some of the machined parts if there was enough interest?
