Laser Driver Board V1 - Detailed item view - OdicForce Lasers Online Shop It says that it needs about "0.5 – 1.5 V higher than the laser operating voltage." If i hook up a red LD...or any diode for that matter...and set the pot for an output of 350ma, and power it by cr's, or any other 3.7v rechargables, will the driver support it? I am used to using the 3 terminal regulators (LM's) which require a minimum of 4v or 5v i think.
So what i am wondering is if the LD will not get terminated if i do this. I know if i only use 1.5v's, the output needed will suck up the power in a few minutes. So what do you think...?

Have you not contacted Jon at odicforce? I am sure he will help you out. Im new to lasers and have purchased items from him and found him to be very helpful.

Odicsforce is irrelevant. I am asking a general question about any of the drivers. His link above just happened to be one of my sources. Thanks for your thoughts though, I might just do that anyway.

That looks a lot like the O-like Drivers...

BTW.... use a Dummy Test Load instead of your LD for
adjustments and tests....
