I got this laser from WL and I don't really know which one it is.

I know it says "Executive Series" below Wicked Lasers, but AFAIK, the executive series used to have the word "Fusion" written there.

EDIT: The power is about 50mw and it is IR filtered, if that helps.

I have an old WL Executive series laser.(before they added the interlock pin and power led) They used to be broken down into several power levels with respective pricetags. It seems they no longer use this nomenclature.

Classic - 15mW
Advanced - 35mW (I have this one)
Extreme ? - 55mW or something, not sure on the name
Nexus - 95mW
Fusion - 125mW
Phoenix - 150mW

I think that was most of them, so yours was probably an extreme or a high testing advanced unit.

They made the elite series when they added the interlock and led right? So this might be a prototype made between the executive and elite series?

EDIT: Or do you mean their is an executive series w/ the interlock&led, and one w/o?

I'm pretty sure they made the executive series with the interlock and light for a while. Apparently the executive series is completely gone now.

It is a newer executive model. I have the same one. I thought they have been discontinued. Where did you get that¿

EDIT Thats the executive PRO series. Not the executive series. The normal executive series was just plain matte finish with no safety features. The newer model comes with a safety interlock and has a rubberised coating rather than a matte painted finish.

Not to defend a company that has never really HAD a GOOD reputation. But from what i remember back in the day (not in this current time) Wicked use to have their lasers manufactured by CNI which despite wicked IS reputable. SO "if" I am correct around the time when these executive series lasers existed. Wicked was partnered with CNI. Now that doesnt mean that cni did ALL of the lasers but im pretty sure most if not all of them were cni manufactured.

Aroind this time especially whwn i bought my laser... They were sending out SUPERB units overspec/good quality built. However this has changed and not for the better.

All in all id say the executive series are very good lasers. No need to make fun of them :p THOUGH at the time the price was 3x what you would have paid for an olike unit or so of tge same power or better. Which is WHY everyone complained (because we all know cni lasers are not cheap)

Thanks everyone for the info! I guess it is the executive pro advanced according to this thread: Link

I got it as a prize for bug reporting. They usually send out cores, but I sent them a pretty long list of errors, so I guess they decided to send a mid-range discontinued one :p

Now don't you be hatin' on ole' WL now lol:D

In all seriousness though, they used to make good lasers(before the Arctic era, and this laser is waaay before the Arctic)

WL used to sell shoddy ole pot modded pointers and then moved on to retail units. HOWEVER the units were >1000$ and so on. It was about the prices for the LONGEST time. Once that changed (arctic fiasco) Everythibg webt out the window. The prices only went down because of the manufacturer change and i think they basically gave up after that. They never dis care about the customers though, We were always money to them and nothing else.

My Executive advanced (35mW) still outputs 40-45mW and it's about 5 years old now. Wicked is hit and miss sometimes but the units I have all measure in or over spec except my Arctic which comes in around 750mW
