Why DL, Rayfoss, O-like etc don't sell LPM?

All above mentioned websites and similar websites deal with lasers and lasers' accessories.

However, none of them sells LPM, as far as I know.

Why is it so?

Shouldn't it be evidently that they will deal and sell LPM's?

Any insight will be appreciated.

Basically, i think, for this reason:

There are two "main classes" of LPMs ..... industrial built, and homemade / hobby / small series built.

Industrial built ones (just as example, from Coherent, Ophir, and other "big" manufacturers), are lab-grade stated instruments, that costs a lot of money (is not rare to see 3 "zeroes" in the price tag ..... before the decimals, ofcourse :p), and dropshippers don't manage with these products, usually.

The other ones (we can call them "homemade", just for simplicity), does not have industrial certifications, so cannot be regularly sold from a company like a dropshipper or a distributor.

Be clear, "homemade" don't mean "bad", in this case ..... peoples like lasersbee, Ken, Nospin, MM (Radiant) and so on, build good instruments, for our hobby use ..... i also usually build my own ones ..... they just don't have all the required certifications, documents, tests, paid taxes and permissions (overall these ones :p), for become internationally selled from big dropshipping companies ..... i mean, if you sell some of them from a private to a private, none say nothing, but start to sell them on regular basis through a dropshipper or company representative, and let the "big ones" notice you, and you become submersed from injunctions, court orders and requests of payments before you even realize what's happened :p

Uhm, guys, O-like actually offers an LPM. Not on their website, but if you contact Susie via chat, they do have one. It's not cheap..

I'll try to dig up the chat log tonight. Don't remember what the final price was but it was in the high triple digits.

Edit: Chat log with Susie:

(11:42:07 PM) MSN do you sell laser power meters?
(11:42:39 PM) O-like@live.cn what wavelength
(11:42:46 PM) O-like@live.cn and power range
(11:44:03 PM) MSN 1mw to 2w, preferably capable of measuring everything 405nm to 665nm
(11:44:54 PM) MSN if it is capable of measuring infrared that would be a bonus, but i don't know that much about the power meters
(11:48:11 PM) O-like@live.cn it is $739
(11:48:17 PM) O-like@live.cn can test to 10W
(11:48:32 PM) O-like@live.cn and mutiwavelength

This is definitely more expensive than the units used by most hobbyists, but clearly they do have sell an LPM. This is probably also the reason O-like is one of the few budget companies that is close to spec on their lasers unlike many of cheap site.
