Hi Anderson,
What are you having trouble figuring out? be more specific it will help you get more replies.
As far as sellers go you should do a search or just read in the Companies and Reviews sub forum here. If you do an hour of reading you will easily know who is good and who should be avoided along with lots more info that will help you. Feel free to then ask for further explanations or if anything is confusing.

Hello and welcome! Start by reading all of the "sticky" posts at the top of each forum section. There is a lot of great info in those threads.

1. I think you mean mW, not Mw It is case sensitive and they mean different things.
2. There are 1000mW (milliwatts) in 1W (watt)

3. nm is short for nanometers, it's the wavelength of the laser, it can sometimes be written in um (micrometers), there are 1000nm to 1um.

Greetings from another newbie. This thread includes reviews of multiple lasers from multiple companies. But if you're looking at getting any higher powered lasers, get eye protection first. I may be relativity new to lasers, but even I know that safety always comes first.

I'm sorry for posting here, and I'll delete this post, but I must ask, how do you put links to words. For example, if I want "this" to link to something, how do I do that? I didn't want to start a thread, and I noticed it was done above ^ :)

You can either just put in a URL to a page and it will show as a link, but if you want to use a specific word or words for the link then in the editor you would first click the link icon (blue one that looks like the earth) then it asks for the URL and click OK and it creates the link and will leave a copy of the URL highlighted and you edit that part to say whatever you want.

I've been wanting to know for years.

We need a "stupid don't care what you think I'm asking anyway" thread that fools like me can surf all day for off the wall information you never know where or who to ask it. I think I have 20/30 similar question to the one above brewing at all times.
Hey do what Pie R Squared says it works. Just highlight the word to link, and in the advanced posting, click the world icon (internet) and it will have you place a link.

Well this got off topic pretty quickly :D. Also the text isn't colored automatically, so if you want people to notice that there's a link you have to color it. You can see that I colored, then linked, then colored again and didn't delete the first coloring because I'm lazy. :p

It does get colored automatically, but it doesn't show up in the preview.
