What should one expect to see while wearing safety glasses?

I suppose but I think classification has more to do with it than power output. I've also noticed that lab lasers are allowed to be sold on eBay in higher powers but not handhelds.

Well seeing as classification relates directly to power output, I'd say it has everything to do with power output. :p

As for lab lasers, they aren't illegal to sell/import anywhere I'm aware of. Some have export bans and such (SSY-1 comes to mind for the US). Pointers on the other hand are illegal to import/sell in many places. I think pressure from several government agencies (from different countries) is what led to eBay changing the rules for eBay.

Actually, I believe I was wrong. Finally took a look at night. I think it's 445-450nm.

Ha! Yeah. I didn't even look at the specs. The color seems right for 405nm but who really knows. The only reason I got it is because a friend just got one and it seemed decent (and tested at 1W on another friends LPM) and I had some eBay bucks to spend.

Looking forward to checking it out more once the Uvex glasses get her tomorrow.
