Laserbee and kenometer both offer great hobby LPM's with professional readings.

It's all down to personal taste :)

I can vouch for the Laserbee. I have one and it's very good. There have been direct, graphed comparisons between the Laserbee and a Scientech, with the Laserbee matching the Scientech almost perfectly. Here's a link to the comparison: Laserbee-1 A GREAT Power Meter!

Get the Laserbee Deluxe. You will not regret it. The build quality is top notch, and the software is as simple as it gets. I simply love it.

I was mainly wanting to ask everyones opinion and figured they would suggest whatever LPM they had. It will be hard to choose between the LaserBee and the Kenometer. To find prices for the kenometer do I just PM Kenom?

Yeah... if money was no object the Coherent LabMax-TOP would be
nice to have at $4K...

But we are mere hobbyist mortals on a budget...

Can you give us a ballpark estimate on the Pro pricing?

The ball park that Ken had mentioned on a couple of posts was
$250 for the USB only model and
$450 for the Kenometer Pro...

Well, laserbee has mentioned the prices I've quoted as estimates, but it could go down. Just no saying until the meter gets fully assembled and we have no other costs associated with the build.

Ya I saw the Kenometer Pro and I will break my spending limit for that thing. It looks like a nice meter. I am really considering that thing.

I will definitely consider any hobby meter that gets me well over 2W. That 5W-capable Kenometer Pro looks like something I'd grab because of this.

I wish the Kenometers were out at this very moment. But you can't always get what you want... :cryyy:
