Default Re: What is the most powerful laser of each color?

For diodes,
445nm 3W blues exist
450nm NDB7875 blue can go up to 5W
520nm green diode exists which shoots 1W of green
Oclaro's red 638nm 700mW diode can get to 1W safely i think
650nm reds exist that go up to 4W.

That's all I think, someone correct me if I'm missing something.

For DPSS non-handheld stuff, they can get up to 30W+.

Pure-diode modules can also go up to 30W, which overly simplified are diodes stacked in an array in a box.

There are also some pretty powerful Ir and UV laser modules, but they are not used for pointers/visual stuff.

If you could defy the laws of physics, someone would have already done it. You can only combine 2 and only 2 beams with a PBS cube, at that point the beam is polarized both ways. With knife edging no matter what lenses you put them through you will still have multiple beams side by side.

It's true, but also worth noting that if the beams are well aligned then divergence will cause them to "bleed" into each other after some distance and look like a single beam.
Also the glare will make the gap hardly visible to the human eye as well.

There are outdoor laser projectors using diode array and they look just fine.

still exagerated illustration but with more realistic beam profile

I've seen red array beam corrected with prism pair, but I don't know if they were the 700mW ones.
