Hey all,

When the wife sits through it all etc etc and asks in the end "And what is it all for?" I really need a good excuse here!!!

I'd love to hear any suggestions!

Entertainment or just a hobby. Show her one of the WFTM that Flaminpyro is working on that's a great example of entertainment or they're just cool

I told my wife that I am collaborating with world renowned scientists on an open source internet based laser fusion project that will ultimately provide clean energy for the whole world.

She looked at me knowingly and told me in a very level tone “You just better not kill the dog, or burn the house down”.

 To copy the expression of another forum member, I just lolgasmed!

Seriously though, wives? what are these wife things you speak of that seem to control your lives? :p

My GF and I have our separate hobbies, and hobbies we like to do together. There is never a "why". There is just "I'm glad your happy with it". We dont need each others approval, or understanding. So explanations are never needed.

Then I started cutting up old copper watterblocks today to reuse recycle and I got shiz for that too!!!

I keep it 25.5C-27.5C in the house in the winters but that's mostly for the goffin (and in case my furnace goes out).. gives me an extra couple hrs in an emergency. The macaws and amazons can have a wide range of temps and are more used to moisture. The cockatoo's like it hoter and dryer...

You could be spending tens of thousands on a car.
Thousands on other motorized hobbies like boats, planes, jetskis, motorcycles, atvs.
Out cheating in exotic hotels spending loads of cash on hookers or loose sluts.
You could develop a wicked cocaine habit, gambling, etc.

But instead of spend a few hundred on glow sticks. Big deal.
