What is the best Glow in the dark paint?

I want to make a glow board for a 445nm, (correct me im new, I think that will work on glow in the dark surface because its close enough to UV). Right?

If so like the title says.... what is really good glow in the dark paint that I can put a couple layers on a board and get a nice good long bright glow?

Or am I doing this wrong and can get a cheaper glow board already done ?

I don't know if this is the best but it does say long lasting on their website..........

I was thinking tho for the purpose of lighting it up with a 445, I would not really want the glow to last for hours, because then it would defeat the writing purpose.

Now I'm new as I said, so would a 445 nm at about 700 mW light it up for it's full charge? I think it would do a lot to it so I'm thinking a not so long lasting one would be better suited.

Anyone have any personal experience with this idea?




PS and secondary question. Whats the Highest NM rating that Glow in the dark material will get charged by? is it 445nm?

I don't know for sure, but I know 532nm does perform fairly well. Here is a video...........

Ultra Green V10 Water-Based Glow in the Dark Paint -:beer:

I got some "glow inc. glow in the dark water based ultra green V10"
They have oil based but the water based ships across borders with no issues.
I use 405nm "5mW" on mine, it will light up the room if you charge more than a couple feet of it and it will last for a LONG time but only if it charges for a while.
For writing it works great and fades in about 2-3 minutes.
I don't know about the other kinds but the waterbased one is a little gritty because the GITD part is water soluble so they have to make it into tiny GITD "beads" its fine for a brush but an airbrush or HVLP sprayer might have trouble.
*edit* 532nm doesn't do jack with mine
