Just ordered three more lasers from Sanwu. A Spiker 7 watt, a tri-beam Guardian and a 150mw 520nm pocket, also grabbed some extra g7 lens to put in my custom builds. Looks like it's back to Mac&Cheese for awhile.:D I'm one of those people that pray for patience, but I want it right now! Will post a review when they show up.:yh:

I recently swapped all my bad divergence laser's lens which were g2s for g7s. I am very pleased with the results. I recommend more than the usual amount of thread tape on them though, they are barely in the module when focused to infinity, the thread tape helps a lot.

for single mode diodes I still use g2s

Curious, I have them in 6 custom builds ( think it's 6 might be 5 ) anyways, I've never had a problem with them just threading in only a few threads?? But YES they really improve the beam quality, got them it a 44, 07, 06, and they really make the divergence better ( those diodes need it )~~~~~ edit~~~ come to think of it I had to cut the lens spring down on the mitts 500 I used one in to get it closer to the diode.

Mind me asking how much did you spend? Must've been in the order of $500-800. edit- $800 Those are going to be really cool. I hope you enjoy. I'd like to see all your lasers on at once in fog. Did you get expedited shipping :D or slow shipping :(?
I'm probably not buying anymore of the super high powered lasers with terrible divergence until the companies start incorporating corrective optics or the diodes get less divergent. That's why I sold my 44.

@shakenawake, I use standard teflon tape found in hardware stores.

Yes I got expedited shipping. Anyone can go the the Sanwu website and total up the cost, that's why I'm living on Mac&Cheese again! Sanwu's g7 lens work quite well on the 44's, 06, 07 concerning their bad divergence. Looking forward to trying their BE expander on their 7 watt. Also I have a Newport 20x BE I'm going to try also, that I hoping should be awesome.

Looks like my upper range nailed it on the head. :D There's still that annoying bar beam even with a g7. I like the round dot found in single mode diodes and even an m140 is basically a dot unless you look with goggles or from several hundred feet.

I'm really interested in the review of the 150mw pocket, can't wait!

Hi shake,
If the barrel on the G7 is to short of threads just swap the lens to the G2 barrel if the lens dia. Is the same. No tape needed
Ooh BM,
Looks
Like
Your going to have to buy the economy Mac n Cheese

True, there's no comparison with the divergence of a m140, but they cut the bar down by about half ( which is a lot better ) and yes the 150mw 520 promises to be a little powerhouse. Thinking that ones going to go on my key chain.

Morning Rich, I've had a lot of time to come up with ideas ( could be dangerous) but I got a project in mind for you, need a focus adapter for the laser I bought that has the gravity power switch. When I get back to the house I'll send you some pics. Call you when I get to the house. Warm up your lathe ! P.s, its two meals one with the mac the next with the cheese !

Just thought I'd mention for the 150mw pocket, every mw costs $1. :D

Never thought of that, but your right. Glad it doesn't stay that way or a 1000mw would cost a 1000.00 ( heard when they first came out that was the price ) glad they came down .

Try DTRs 2 element lens. It's broadband coated not specific to just 520nm. Most of my MM handhelds use them. Try it out let me know what you think.

Nice dude! Sanwu was where I got a lot of my collection after sci-fi failed to deliver the goods. Quality lasers through and through at a reasonable cost. Second only to JL IMO.

I have tried DTR's g2's, Sanwu's g7 seems to cut the g2's divergence down by half? Am I missing something ?

Thanks, I don't own any Jet Lasers. Have heard good things about them, might have to check them out. Took a look at their Pistol Dazzler before, almost pulled the trigger. ( pun intended )

I believe Sanwu has G7's with the 9mm barrel option.
I really also need to get more G2's and G7's to have on hand. I sometimes switch lenses from one build to another and quickly lose track which is which.
Back on track BobM haven't seen a laser obsession yet on this forum to be matched:)
They do have blocks of that government cheese out there:whistle:
