I have obtained a jar of glow ink and was wondering if you guys had any cool ideas.
I know we have glow powder and many use it since it glows without the aid of UV light but what kinda uses can we come up with for glow ink.

The intended purpose for the ink is automotive companies use it for parts identity and them they use UV light to see the part number that is invisible otherwise.

i'd paint redrum on my walls with it.
If I had a garage, I'd paint part of the floor with schematics and other cool stuff, and have a black light installed

That looks really cool. :D Do you know what it's composition is? Mainly is it toxic or dangerous? Can it be cleaned off of skin? I could think of a lot of fun uses, but would have to be sure it's safe to handle.

Could make some really neat hair dye, would really stand out at parties or clubs with UV lights.

My Uncle gave be a jar of this stuff for a birthday present when I was in Highschool many years ago. I made handprints on the wall and runny drip marks and spelled out many things on the walls in my bedroom. I'll tell you one thing for sure, It does NOT come off your hands for a VERY VERY long time.

I wrote a couple of messages on the walls of my house with an invisible ink pen when I was a kid. Since it could only be seen under UV light, no one ever knew. :D Unfortunately my mom repainted the house a while back and they're gone. :(

If you get it on your skin is there an visible marking if you are not looking at it under UV? Guess it wouldn't really matter if not. Could dye clothes and hair and if it is only visible under UV no one would ever know except in rare situations.

Splatter it all over a hotel bed, on your last day ask them to check with a black light cause you think the bed is nasty. They find what they think is 'bodily fluids', you get refund.
EDIT: better yet, ask for a check on the second day, ask to have your room upgraded.

um yeah you can say that again. Spilled some on my kitchen table 3 nights ago and I cleaned it all up but with blacklight it can still be seen in all the cracks, dents, dings it's a high traffic wood table so many imperfections over the years. Cool thing I'm the only one that knows it's there :). I also had it all over my hands and I wash my hands 50 times a day and I still can see it on fingers where the nail meet skin after 3 days.... It is ink after all.
I can get more anytime since one of my best friends works at the company where it came from, it's not for sale but he can get it :eg:

Well i dont know about glow ink or its toxicity, but A few years ago (like an idiot) I would get glow powder for cheap off ebay... Dressed in all black, I would cover my entire body with it, including my hair, and have my friend shine a black light on me so my entire body is glowing. When is younger brothers were in the woods drinking, we would surround them and scare the hell out of them...

They wouldn't put it on toys if it was toxic. Yer A-OK mate.

I got some glow in the dark duct tape at Wal-Mart, I put a bunch of strips on the wall and it's fun to draw on with a 405-445.

Ayy, I remember that. I still have that giant board of that tape, but I don't have a 405nm laser anymore. Yet.

405 or 445 will work, the tape is slightly translucent so things underneath can show through, but it glows well.

It's in wal-marts colored and prints duct tape isle.

Thanks for mentioning it, I actually picked up a roll today. Was pretty expensive for a small roll, but really cool. :D
