Hello, Im pretty new to this community and also to lasers in general
I know the basics of nm and the brightness according to human eye color sensitivity and the basics parts of lasers.
Although Im not sure how the caculation works 1A 2A and how they
are connected to watt and voltage and so on.
I am searching for powerful laser for my concert lighting DIY project.
Its nothing big but after doing few days of googling, I figured out that in really cant afford high output green lasers since its too expensive.
So, despite sacrificing the visibility, I turned to the more Thick Beam that comes out of blue lasers.
I think I could build 2w 450nm blue laser for pretty cheap for under $80 or so.
getting separate parts from ebay (2w m140 drivers)
But this item popped up?

Its focusable and also has 5w output with lot of people purchasing it? for only 60 dollars?

This guy's laser looks pretty high quality and powerful (maybe some smoke or camera sensitivity)
When I went into his site where he bought the diodes, 6w laser diode and drivers were $160
Isnt that supposed to be a normal price?
Im very confused..
Maybe the one on the ebay has poor heat sink and all of that kind of accessories but even if that's true its too cheap.?!?
any other disadvantages? besides these?
I'm thinking of modding the Ebay one with other parts...
Any thoughts on this item?
