50mW transformable green laser/adjustable/burning [OLV50] - $41.99 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

Im buying this laser today and want some input on it. I've finally decided to upgrade from on of my 3 ebay/amazon lasers. I wanted a more powerful one and here I am.

How does it compare to one of the cheap greenies? I know for sure that it probably owns it in every aspect. I didn't order a pair of safety glass. (If you think its mandatory please tell me! :) ) I got this model because of the safety lock because on my immature brother and 2 little sisters. Im going to use good judgement with it.

Any other ideas or thoughts? :anyone:

Thanks for the advice!!

I don't have this laser but olike has good rep. On here and most likely over spec. And yes you need the glasses! You only get one set of eyes.

O-like is a very good site. The customer service is great, the shipping is good, and that laser looks like it has a nice host. o-like is usually over spec or at least up to spec. Don't forget if you buy that laser buy a charger since it doesn't come with one.

Hi Anthony,

I have the 200mW version of this laser. The host feels very nicely built, and the key mechanism is a plus.

Considering it's 50mW I imagine you intend to use it for pointing. Pointing outside with this laser you should be fine as long as you're careful. (Don't point at anything reflective, especially street signs.)

Inside there is a risk if you catch a direct reflection or from staring at the dot from up close. As long as you don't look at the dot from closer than say 15 feet you should be fine though.

You mentioned you have siblings. Tempting though it might be, DO NOT point it at them:D and spend a few minutes explaining that if they catch the beam or reflection in their eye it will do damage.

Overall good choice for a laser.
