Question Some info would be required for this noob :)

Hey, with this module:
1W 1 5W 445nm A140 Blue Laser Diode in Copper Module w Leads | eBay
theoratically I could just hook up a power source, yes?
I have recived a 100mw laser and all I did was hook the 2 leads to the positive and negative ending of battery :P
So I'm wondering, would that work with this module?

That module does not have a driver, so you would have to hook up a constant current power source of about 1A to it, or a driver to regulate the current.

Also, you need a lens that can handle the power of the laser, the one included will melt.

Get it here with the non-melting lens and a driver.

800mW+ 445nm Blue Laser Module W/Boost Driver & Glass Lens (3.7-4.2Vin)
or
1.7W 445nm Copper Blue Laser Module W/X-Drive & Three Element Glass Lens (6-12.6Vin)
