Last Thursday I bought one of their 2W WL replicas for £97 or $127 and of course the usual happened. I discovered these forums afterwards. So I sent a few messeges and within a few hours they replied. I asked if their laser diodes are 1.6w and not 2w. And they replied saying they have changed their type of diode. And the lasers preduce 1.8.to 2.2 I'm the tests. I don't have an LPM so I cant test it myself but it's too late to get the laser from somewhere else. So I guess I have to learn the hardway. But anyway once it comes I'll do a video review and post it here. Maybe now it's 2016 they uppEd their game. Who knows? I have read the where to buy stickies now. I was educated after I bought it annoyingly enough.
This is also my first laser. Other than a 15mw WL nano that ran away and could never find again.
Happy lasering!!!

Being that it's your first high power laser, if it ends up being anywhere near 2W, I think that you'll be happy with it. Assuming there's not going to be anything wrong with it that is.
BTW, do you have safety glasses? You'll need a good pair if you're going to be messing with lasers of this power.

Thank you for the response, and also yes it comes with some safety glasses. And I paid £20 more for 4+ protection in the 445nm range. That should be enough. :)

What kind of safety goggles are they? Red lenses with black frame? If so they are the eBay kind that are sold in bulk for $0.25. If they are orange they are the real deal.

Funny enough just been reading your xpl posts. Could of saved half price for a 2W blue.... any way it was from survival something and called Eagle. I'm so new haha. It was £20 plus the money I paid towards to other ones. So about £40 for them. They are all orange.

SurvivalLaser glasses are great, good on you for taking the initiative and buying them.
But everyone gets fooled by bad companies once in a while... A couple years ago I bought a 1W RGB laser from a Chinese company. It turned out to be 400mW and then both the green and blue lasers broke. When I tried to return it, the company sent me the quote you see in my signature.

And thanks for reading my XPL posts! Really a fascinating company.

Hope you enjoy your stay at the forum. :)

Why yes thank you. I've already had a spinal injury. I know what it means to lose something so permanent. Such as feeljng or movement. That's why I decided to look into lasers. It's some thing that I can do at home. Have fun. Learn and meet other hobbyists. Quick question, without sounding stalker ish I found your profile and posts to be very helpful haha, how would you suggest I start to build my collection? Because I just typed "2w blue laser" Instow Google and bought the one I did haha. Xpl look really good. Only downside is the duty time. I would sant unlimited. Apparently the one I bought does actually have unlimited. Which is odd for lucklaser haha. I'll link it

Sanwu is the way to go. Make sure to purchase the 3x beam expander with adapters with your next laser.

My laser has arrived on time. It is actually amazing metal quality. The beam unfocused mad epaper smoke almost instantly. And it was white paper! The beam is visible with low power battery's in sunlight. It's absolutely crazy. They included a free green laser. It can't focus but I guess ito a free 50-100mw 532nm green. The case was well protected and even the charger is a double and is decent. I don't understand why lucklaser gets a bad rep. I got exactly what just paid for. A 2w blue 445nm laser. That burns. Is focus able. Came with free attachments and an unlimited duty cycle with a 1year warranty. The support answer in hours. I'm happy with my first laser.

What matters most is that you're happy.
The reason why lucklaser has a bad reputation is because they often charge high prices for cheap products. While they don't inflate the power (like LaserPointerPro does) they do sometimes increase the price beyond reasonable levels. But for all the extra stuff you got, it's probably a good deal. I suppose I'll add them as one of the yellow companies on my guide.

When I get home I'll try make a review type video for youtube and keep it updated. I paid £90 for a 2w 445nm laser. Focus able. All metal. A double charger. 5 star caps. A 1 year warranty. Safety glasses that let 0 laser light in. Adapter for charger. And a free 50mw 532nm laser. A lively case that's metal which was protected without a scratch.
I would of come for a diffrent company Ifor i knew about these forums. But I must of been a lucky one to actually get what I paid for. I'll try make it professional haha

It might be 2W and it might be lower or higher. Bottom line is you can't guess. It has to be measured.
Glad you are happy with it and I repped you on the glasses if you are wondering how it jumped so much;) Happy lazing and welcome to the forum.

There are a few other high quality laser companies out there so be sure and check out some other places like laserbtb, jetlasers, Dragonlasers (they sell a 589nm/golden yellow) and research before you buy. There are also some really nice builds that come up for sale here too and members who can make some really slick stuff like Jayrob.

Hmmm, did dragon raise the price on the 50mW 589? I didn't think it was as high as $529.
