would I be able to buy this laser: DealExtreme: $2.62 Red Laser Point Pen (2xAAA)

take out the module and replace it with this? DealExtreme: $46.81 200mW 532nm Green Laser Module (3V 11.9mm)

I know it wouldn't be even close to 200mW, but I'm going for something similar to this without spending as much money:

It is very unlikely that they will fit.
That red pen is likely containing a 6 maybe 9mm module, so it will take some modification to fit a 12mm (11,9) module in it.
Then comes the problem with the match up of the buttons, lack of heat sinking, current from the AAA's, and what mW you are actually getting from DX.

You could try this, that would work the first time around and would not fall apart in your hands.

It won't work with the red pen.

Just get the "true 5mW" for $10.
It will fit perfectly in there, but you will have to solder a spring onto the "200mW" module.
