Should i buy this?

Should i buy this lazer from lazerer- LZTN - 532nm 50mW Smallest Green Laser Pointer or this laser from o-like- Power Rock Green laser Torch 50mW /Focusable&Waterproof [OL-MRGL50] - $34.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

I want to know if they are good, and if they are really 50mW. And another thing, i built a diode test driver that runs on 250 mA. My red laser diode safe current is 300mA but when i connect it to the driver it doesnt give any power. Here are some pics:
P.S my friend once connected his diode to a 3v power supply and the laser vas verry bright, but for a few seconds, now it glows like normal

I can't tell for sure, but it looks like that LM317 is connected very incorrectly.

There are a ton of threads on the LM317 here, a simple search will yield you the correct schematic.

The wires of LM317 looks okay. Very basic but it should work.

It is connected good...i didint have a 4ohm rezistor or 2 2ohm rezistors so i used 2 2,5ohm rezistors.

I would go with the o-like.... I doubt either would be underspec since you're looking for only 50mW.

The mini from lazerer is also great (I have two myself), but is a much much cheaper host.
