SELEM 11 Anyone!?!

I just signed up for SELEM 11! SE Laser Enthusiast's Meeting.
It will be in Newton, North Carolina. I just wanted to see if anyone else here is going. This will be my third LEM and first SELEM. My first two were NWLEM, for Im born and raised in pdx oregon, and got sucked into living in kentucky for two years... Wifes school is out here.
Anyways im rambling out of excitement!! But if you guys need more info Itll be on the PL forum under meet and greet!!

IMHO this forum needs either a new board just for laser meets (akaLEMs)
As the way it is now--threads on LEMs are at no less than 5 boards!!
It can be in Laser Shows BUT for that to work we need 'LEMs' in board description.

SELEM????

SO- putting up a LEM feeler for HOUSTON TEXAS
..possibly a Halloween-LEM TexLem 2017

We are at already working on a great event & at lowest cost possible.

Free 'venue' w/ free BBQ.
close to Hobby Houston Airport
no renting cars-we will pick you up.
AND we can stay overnite
Coz the 'venue' is a very nice 3 bedroom/2 bath house.
Garage- on cul de sac.

Lower cost shirts or some another momento.. sew on patch etc.

Going soon to look closer-I have not seen the entire house yet.

My first selem was 2010 Have not missed one since.
I have done 2 FLEM's January and February of this year and Went to Camp LEM up in northern Cali in May (AWESOME BTW)

That being said My priority is the eclipse the following week And I am financially drained so Most likely I will be skipping it this year. I may come down for a day since Im only 5 hours away.

I'm going to stay over the week until the eclipse. Maybe we could meet up for the eclipse? Where will you be viewing it from?

Originally I was going to be Wyoming, I wanted to do some milky way shots after the eclipse that night. Was gonna meet a friend out there but that is a bust. I still would like to go west maybe to Kansas but that's kinda far. If I end up hitting South Carolina heck yea we can meet up that would be a blast. Any location you have in mind ?

I will be bringing my kvant club max 3000 with all my quickshow stuff as well as my 500mw 532 lumia project.
Not exactly sure what day I'll arrive. Hopefully early Thursday so I don't miss the abstract mathematics bit.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again, plus some new folks. SELEM just keeps growing!
