I managed to get my hands on a half dozen radial finned heatsinks today. I've heard several people comment about how they would like to have one of these for their workbench...well here's your chance! The first six shipping addresses that show up in my PM's will have one sent to them for only the cost of shipping (CONUS only...sorry). (Yes, there are 7 in the pic, but the widest one is MIIINE! :)) And, before you ask....YES, that is an EleksMaker A3 Pro 2.5W laser engraver in the pic. Below is a sample of it's work on powdercoated aluminum flashing.

If you would like your sink drilled for a module, and a setscrew, please specify module size, they'll all be 6-32 setscrews. And, you'll have to devise your own "kickstand". I'll find out shipping cost over the next couple of days. I also will likely be coming into several more of these over the next few weeks. They'll be posted up as I receive them.

Thanks for looking,
-G

Those would make some awesomely good heat sinks for a bench laser.

OK, Paul's sink will be arriving in Tacoma Wednesday.

If anyone else needs one, I just picked up another seven. I'd really like to spread
these around. I have absolutely no use for all of them. Shipping to CONUS is
$7.20 (Yeah, Paul. I misread the website and you got a dollar off ;)) for small
flat-rate box, which can hold two sinks. If you'd like them drilled and tapped, I
can't do it for nothing, but I think $10 is a fair price for drill-tap-setscrew.

I'm looking forward to getting mine. I've been wanting a good finned heat sink for pressed diodes. This should do nicely. :thanks:

Oh, I can send you another $ if you like. I don't want to take advantage of you. I sent it to you, buddy. You should have it soon.

Dang, Paul. You really didn't have to do that!
I'm the one that went and looked up prices and told
you wrong. But, thanks...shows integrity. And, I like that
alot about the people here.

If you have them to sell, I'd like two with drilled and tapped set screw for a 12 mm and a 20 mm module.

OK Bob, Chris, and Lew, I'll get em prepared ASAP.

Bob, I'll have to check 'em and see if there are some that'll
take a 25 mm hole and still have enough meat for a screw.
I'll let you know. I didn't check the core sizes on all of 'em.

Another thing I failed to mention is that they are all pulls, not
brand new. But, I am straightening the bent fins on all of 'em,
and blasting the surface defects off. They'll look "pre-loved", not
all beat to hell.

Today was a day from Hell at work, so you'll all have to forgive
me if I don't work on them today, I'm takin' a shower and going
to BED!

Thanks,
-K

YEAY! My heat sink arrived today and it looks great. Gadget drilled it for 12 mm modules and added a set screw. It had a lot of mass to it and the fins are nice and straight with excellent air flow. Should make a perfect bench heat sink for testing pressed diodes with. :thanks:

I got the first one of these. Gadget did an excellent job drilling and adding the set screw. I am more than happy with mine. I have actually been using it to test plug and play modules I have built for members here with the new 490nm diodes. It makes a great bench heat sink. You will want to add a stand for it as it doesn't sit up straight the way it is. But, that was easy. :yh:
