sci fi laser SF501b focus help

Hello Everyone,
I just received my laser and have a question about focusing. I guess the question is how do i focus it? I know that there is that external adjuster that the lens cap sits on, but that does not do anything, as there is no lens if that piece? what am I missing???

just turn the little lens at top u have that as on the picture ?

That silver piece that is knurled has to be tight on the lens to turn the lens to focus in the pic mortuus sent. That silver piece "external adjuster" is so you dont burn your fingers.

Is the less in the right way maybe backwards to.take it out and flip it around.
