not sure what you mean with "laser firms" but if you mean laser companies then check the companies section

Where you live may have a bearing upon advice given--

:-O

so please put that in your profile.

i *think* what you are asking is concerning returned , defective or broken lasers.. sometimes call 'seconds' They may work but do not meet QC standards.
I have some experience with this.

I handle some of the customers support for a local laser company and in return get those lasers sent back for various reasons.

ALSO I did an edit of some VERY poorly written descriptions of lasers and laser projectors (China) and for payment I was offered some 'returns' and all i had to pay was shipping I was able to get all of them working again but not all turned out to be 'spec'-or perfect ... It certainly does not hurt to ask.

I saw some items thrown out at a local store here.
They were intentionally very damaged- I inquired about this and was told they did that themselves to eliminate the possibility of some one getting these items and attempting to return or get refund or replacement-
so i asked if some items being discarded could be given to me and they could write on the bottom with a permanent marker- NO RETURN---NO REFUND.
and thus was able to get these and use them after some repair.

What got my attention was a very nice desk armchair with the seat slashed with a box cutter.. it was next to a dumpster at an Office Max store.

Any items I get that I have no use for I donate to a local charity thrift store. win win win
